Verifying Your Coverage

If you’re unsure about coverage, please reach out to your insurance provider. I will help to verify your benefits before we begin, but insurance coverage is never guaranteed. I encourage you to confirm your mental health benefits and any out-of-pocket costs with your insurer.

Questions to Ask Your Insurance Provider

  • Does my plan include outpatient mental health benefits?

  • What is my copay or coinsurance?

  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it, and has it been met?

  • Is there a limit on the number of mental health sessions per year?

  • Do I need preauthorization or a referral?

  • Are telehealth sessions covered? Are there any restrictions or expiration dates?

Out-of-Network Coverage

If I am not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still be able to use your out-of-network benefits. Many PPO plans reimburse a portion of counseling costs, typically 60–90%, after you meet your deductible. If you choose to use out-of-network benefits, I can provide a Superbill (a detailed receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company. Reimbursement is determined entirely by your plan and is not guaranteed.

Self-Pay

I accept private pay clients and offer a reasonable rate for those who prefer not to use insurance or want more flexibility. Please contact me to inquire about rates.

Payment Methods

  • Credit / debit cards

  • Cash or check

  • Health Spending Account (HSA) / Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards

Good Faith Estimates

If you are paying out-of-pocket, you can request a Good Faith Estimate of your expected counseling costs, including session fees and related charges. This helps you plan and avoid surprise bills. Estimates are not a guarantee of final costs and may change based on your needs. To request one, contact me before your first session.
